Accountancy
We are regularly instructed by individuals, companies and solicitors in respect of investigation assignments.
In respect of civil matters we often undertake business valuations, analysis of historic financial accounts, investigations into specific contracts and loss of profit claims, much of the time as a single joint expert. We regularly act in matrimonial proceedings and ancillary relief, for an agreed fixed fee either in court proceedings or at the mediation stage. We provide a range of options in order to facilitate the most reasonable and financially viable resolution.
In respect of criminal matters, we are often instructed by defendant solicitors at the pre-trial stage in matters of fraud, money laundering, theft and drugs offences, amongst others. We provide a fixed fee resolution and advise the instructing solicitors of the financial transactions and background to any alleged crime or individual.
We are
regularly instructed on matters under the Proceeds of Crime Act
2002 relating to the recovery of criminal benefit. We are
instructed by solicitors to investigate the defendants financial
position, alleged proceeds of crime, to identify legitimate income
and businesses and to generally assist with any financial or
business related aspect. We have an excellent reputation for
providing expert witness reports, giving expert evidence at court
and assisting with the negotiation of a settlement. We accept
instruction on legal aid basis.
